'Angel' - Sarah McLachlan

LOVE this song. LOVE Sarah's voice. And...I'm a lyric gurl so...I'm going to post those, here! Enjoy!

Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There’s always one reason
To feel not good enough
And it’s hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
Oh beautiful release
Memory seeps from my veins
Let me be empty
And weightless and maybe
I’ll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line
And everywhere you turn
There’s vultures and thieves at your back
And the storm keeps on twisting
You keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don’t make no difference
Escaping one last time
It’s easier to believe in this sweet madness oh
This glorious sadness that brings me to my knees

In the arms of an angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort there
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

Nice.

Wish audiences could shut up.

I heard of an instance, a classical concert, where the audience were dead quit, and too, for like a whole minute after the end!

Paul McCartney said the Beatles stopped playing because what was the point, nobody could hear the band over their own screaming!

Yes...I like her. :-)

"Wish audiences could shut up."

I agree! So ANNOYING! Takes away from the song, methinks!

Yes...that is also another time when I am WAY ANNOYED: when people burst into applause, prematurely! Sometimes, there are pregnant pauses, in a piece being played, and it just RUINS the affect, when people interrupt! It's just POOR music etiquette and NO class! But...perhaps, these people have never been educated in such matters and know no difference. :-(

Very good point! Not to mention the DAMAGE to the ear drums! :-/

I also don't "get" ALL the HYSTERIA of the girls who "flip out," when they come to see them! I guess Elvis had it that way, as well! Well...probably ALL men in "boy bands" have to deal with this...poor dears! lol! (I'm sure some of the dudes just "eat it up," though! HUGE ego - and other! - boost! :-D
